The University of Virginia is in the beautiful city of Charlottesville, Virginia. It was established by Thomas Jefferson in 1819 and has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are about 25,000 students, both undergraduates and postgraduates, who attend the university. With academic focuses in all areas, the university offers 48 different bachelor’s degree programs, 94 master’s degree programs, and has a medical school and law school.

The area is known for being a suburban college town where many students gather in the surrounding restaurants, cafes, bars, and shopping centers while also enjoying parks and downtown areas.

Many UVA students choose to live on campus during their first year at the University of Virginia. However, come their sophomore year, students look for an off-campus apartment around the university. There are multiple neighborhoods that are popular among UVA students and even some of the faculty.

10th and Page is a neighborhood located northeast of the University of Virginia campus. It offers housing in apartment complexes, such as The Flats @ West Village, which comes with amazing amenities like a luxurious pool. There are also single-family homes, duplexes, and triplexes for rent in this neighborhood.

Fifeville is another popular neighborhood located southeast of the UVA campus. Here you can find many single-family homes, duplexes, and triplexes for rent to students. This neighborhood also features Cherry Avenue, which is lined with local businesses and is adjacent to West Main Street, which has plenty of popular restaurants.

Jefferson Park Avenue is located south of campus and is made up of mostly rental properties for students. The neighborhood has single-family homes, duplexes, and triplexes for students to rent. The Carrollton Terrace Apartments, 1800 Jefferson Park Avenue, and South Range are popular complexes among UVA students that live in Jefferson Park Avenue

Venable or University Circle is a historically popular neighborhood among students at the University of Virginia. It is located just north of campus and has large homes from the 19th century that line its streets and are available for students to rent.

All of these neighborhoods are easily accessible to campus. The University of Virginia even offers to help students find off-campus apartments and roommates if needed.
